
Lay Counselor Training
We also serve churches and other ministries by teaching Biblical counselors how to work effectively with the specific issues found in the world of disability. Understanding the unique wounds, social stigmas, end of life challenges and daily losses are critical for effectively counseling the disabled.
Awareness Education through Seminars, Teaching, Preaching
We are available for pulpit ministry, disability awareness events, seminars or retreats to deepen understanding of disability and to show how the disabled benefit the church and enhance its fellowship.
Crisis Support
We provide counsel and guidance to families affected by disability during times of crisis such as medical emergencies, death of a family member or family dysfunction. We work with churches to guide pastoral and care teams during the crisis.
Church Inclusion Assessment
We provide assessment for congregation’s to aid in evaluating their effectiveness with welcoming and caring for the community of disabled among them. We interview affected families arrange a facilities assessment and walk through welcoming protocols, language use and service details which to provide insight for church leadership.
Inclusive Sunday School Support
Churches often struggle with including the intellectually disabled in Sunday School. We can assist with training, strategies and materials and help with organizing support programs such as buddy programs, classroom inclusion programs and special needs classes.
